Ask HN: What is a piece of advice that you would give to a new Linux user?
- cinntaile 6y agoAssuming a casual user. Follow a quick tutorial on how to use and navigate the command line. As for everything else, just learn it if and when you need it.
- mimixco 6y agoI'd recommend doing your experiments on a virtual machine like Hyper-V so you can spin up different version and kill or revert them if you have problems. On Windows, you can run Ubuntu (WSL) like any other app.
