I'm pleased to see that this compiler is designed to bootstrap itself.
Until now I wasn't aware of any open-source C compilers that support 16-bit DOS real mode and can also run in 16-bit DOS real mode. (OpenWatcom is far too large and DJGPP is strictly 32-bit protected mode only.)
- mras0 6y agoThanks. Ideally I'd have liked if bootstrapping only required an assembler (and then successively more advanced versions could compiler the next in line), but this was enough of a challenge for a side project. Maybe later :)
