Author ends up spending $500 on the whole setup, claims it is a good investment if you want to learn Docker and Kubernetes. The free credits offered by GCP and AWS is enough to learn Docker and Kubernetes IMO.
- cinntaile 6y agoI'm not gonna argue for or against you, I just feel like you only describe part of the story. He also calls himself a self-hosting addict. When you take that into account the equation changes since GCP and AWS are decidedly not self-hosted.
