What the author forgot to mention is quite the opposite trend happening in south africa of demonizing whites leading to this outcome.

  No doubt OP is referring to the antics of the EFF (not that one) a leftwing socialist party of mainly rabble rousers which only attracted about 11% afaik of voters. How this somehow mirrors the feelings of the majority of South Africans towards whites are a rather puzzling conclusion to draw.

    Is that a "trend"? It seems like niche / student activist behaviour. I live in a city where a banner with those words has reportedly been flown a few times but it bears no reflection on my actual experience.

      And I'm sure there's many people that haven't encountered a single BLM protest - that doesn't mean BLM isn't a trend. Does it have to be on every street and in every town to count?
