Cancelling standups during a "fun projects only" hackweek doesn't say a single thing about the efficacy of the standup meeting. The costs of cancelling it, will only show up over the medium to long term. Also, it makes me cringe a bit to see there are people who think number of pull requests are a good measure of productivity. It incentivizes blasting out a lot of quick, easy changes at the expense of doing more challenging tasks that may be essential for long term code health.
