I wholeheartedly agree.
For all of you that think scrum is the best thing in the world, ask yourself this: How did software get built before scrum?
Some fantastic pieces of software were born either before scrum or after 1986 but disregarded scrum entirely.
Scrum might have some good bits here and there, but nowadays it's just used to create digitized busy work and meaningless jobs such as "Scrum Master".
The article is right on the money about tech debt, excluding the developer from the product, and the dumb assumption that all software development can be planned in an orderly big task and smaller task fashion and no flexibility whatsoever is allowed.
Software development is unpredictable, whatever your experience I'm sure you've all had to fuck up entire sprints while getting angry looks from management due to things that are completely outside of your control, be they technical or human in nature.
Let's let this die already.
