Not to be confused with this SCC? http://www.simple-cc.org/ http://www.simple-cc.org/
- MaxBarraclough 6y agoAlso not to be confused with the Tiny C Compiler. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tiny_C_Compiler https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tiny_C_Compiler
- mras0 6y agoAuthor here. Sorry for the confusing naming, the "S"-prefix came before I'd figured out a good name (to match my assembler/DOS project https://github.com/mras0/sasm https://github.com/mras0/sasm). Tiny CC would have been a better name, but (as mentioned in another comment) was already taken by a superior project. I hadn't heard about the other SCC before.
- flohofwoe 6y agoTinyCC is easy to confuse with the well known Tiny C Compiler (usually abbreviated TCC) by Fabrice Bellard though ;) There's also SDCC, the "Small Device C Compiler".
- brudgers 6y agoDon't be sorry for the name. It's fine. If you called your compiler "Stanley Kubrick" someone would complain because it could be confused with the famous director. If you called it "BR549" someone would complain that it's not really HeeHaw. Because it requires little imagination, little effort, and provides an air of superiority, people are likely to complain about any name. Good luck.
