Building even faster interpreters in Rust
- ericpauley 6y agoWhile the `contains` optimization is impressive, I'm curious how favorable the AVX version compares to a fully-optimized search that doesn't use SIMD. For instance [1] discusses the Boyer-Moore technique used by GNU grep, which is somewhat thematically similar to the described approach.
