I don't think this is true at the CEO level. A big reason why CEO's get big pay packages is to incentivize all the aspiring middle managers to work hard.
- ntsplnkv2 6y agoThat sounds like an urban legend. Most middle managers know they will never be CEO, there are orders of magnitude in difference in available jobs.
