Just a personal experience: I remember stuttering as a kid, I was able to figure out that I stutter when I can't remember a word fast enough to say it, long story short I was able to train my self to stay silent until I remember the word I am about to say.
I think now it is not even noticeable.
I just noticed I am still doing this in the same way, a colleague just autocompleated my sentence. :)
