The CEO of the company spent his personal money so that his gay and lesbian employees could be discriminated against by the government.
THAT IS "bringing it in the office"
- stef25 6y agoIt was 12 years ago.
- jboog 6y agoWhat does that have to do with the price of tea in china?
- coldtea 6y agoI find the snark response more "non sequitur" than the grantparent's comment, which at least makes a point. (The point of the phrase "It was 12 years ago" being that: (a) people change with time (b) we should not hold things people did long ago against them forever And thus, that a reaction "but he did X bad thing" to the suggestion of bringing Brendan back is not relevant anymore...
- pseudalopex 6y agoEich stands by his actions. Or he did until recently.
- coldtea 6y agoWhich is totally fine.
- zeveb 6y agoThat is also true of any CEO supporting gun control, and yet the number of CEOs I have seen driven from their jobs for that thoughtcrime is zero.
- jasonlotito 6y agoProbably because it hasn't affected their ability to lead successfully. Eich saw he wasn't going to be effective there, and stepped down.
- coldtea 6y ago>spent his personal money (...) THAT IS "bringing it in the office" This must be some novel notion of "bringing it in the office"... Note the weasel phrasing "so that his gay and lesbian employees" -- to imply that he did it specifically to target his employees. If he gave money in favor of e.g. stricter weed laws, would he have done it to target his "weed using employees" or generally society's use of weed?
