I think it's self-evident that sometimes you have no choice but to half-arse things, but my experience is that it's better to full-arse one thing at the expense of not being arsed at all with something else. A hidden advantage is that once full-arsed the first time, the second time a task is done, it doesn't take much more than half-arse effort.
