I was where you are about a month ago. I ended up using Doom[0] as a bootstrapped config and haven't looked back. I love org-mode. It's the killer feature of Emacs in my mind. I also feel like (note, this is entirely anecdotal and not based on hard facts) Emacs has better LSP integration than Vim. I mainly use Go, so it could also be that gopls has become more stable than it was a year ago when I was first trying to get Vim working with it.
