- modzu 6y agofrom their conclusion, "the fundamental problem facing the 980 PRO and other high-end NVMe drives is... very few real-world consumer workloads... make good use of its full performance potential... 1M IOPS... sounds impressive, but that's only possible in fairly unrealistic conditions... the peak... performance of the drive simply does not matter to consumers today. raid it up yo.
