This is actually how our brains work. "Find everything that matches x" is very difficult because they are supposed to do tasks like "Do x".
Example: list all the first names of the people in your department. It will be slow and the question "Did I miss anyone?" will be prevalent. However, when one is asked whether Peter is in the department, you can answer immediately.
