I’d imagine it will be easy for non-engineering roles to be moved to permanent remote. This also opens up the door to move these positions to low CoL areas and improve diversity hiring. However, I suspect engineering for the most part will remain primarily onsite. Apple has a big secretive factor that probably keeps many things onsite.
