Assuming the data is at all important, "go buy another drive" is really the only valid solution here...
- ed25519FUUU 6y agoA well balanced team will have two types of engineers. One says "Here's the DD incantation that if uttered precisely right will produce the desired result." And another engineer to say "Are you kidding me? Just buy another freakin' disk!"
- jariel 6y agoYes, and that team should have 1 guy saying DD it, and the rest saying 'buy a disk' even if most of them already thought to DD it. It's like trying to fix an engine that's running. My god man, why would anyone try to do that, other than to put it on YouTube.
