How to automate tests without killing someone
- UK-Al05 6y agoBDD is just TDD but from business acceptance criteria language. To say TDD doesn't work but BDD does is ridiculous. People have been using TDD like BDD before it was called BDD. Hint: TDD and BDD are acutally the same thing but BDD is focused on collabration with the business when writing the tests. BDD extensions to TDD comes to shine when non-technical people are involved in writing and reading the tests. It's bit pointless when only devs read them. But devs have always taken requirements turned them into tests before implementation and implemented them. If TDD doesnt work then you also saying the core of BDD doesn't work. Unless you can get business on board with BDD you might as well just do TDD. TDD just means tests drive the development. This guy just seems to be bad at writing unit tests, and his explanation of unit tests is just wrong as well.
