I say this as someone who leans heavily far left... the reasoning here makes no sense at all (speaking of the AP article).
- jjeaff 6y agoThe linguist and scholar John McWhorter, who I think tends to lean right on these types of issues, says that he capitalizes Black and for the same reasons, would capitalize white, but the capitalization of white by white supremecists has sort of ruined it for everyone.
