You may be superficially correct, I’m not sure, but honestly the name of the canonical git branch is not a hill worth dying on.
IMO the right move to battle the more draconian, Orwellian language policing of the cancel culture / “antiracism” dogma is to conserve your energy for the fights worth fighting. This just isn’t one of them.

- SamReidHughes 6y agoThat kind of thinking is why we have had riots destroying our cities, arsonists starting wildfires and burning churches, and spikes in the homicide rate this decade.
- stnmtn 6y agoYes, changing the name of github's default branch to something that makes more sense is the reason there are nationwide protests right now. For sure man Isn't it fun when you can just say words out loud and make it look like you have a point?
- amazingman 6y agoIt really isn’t, but your kind of thinking is definitely driving the way the current administration is trying to spin those riots.
