- Havoc 6y agoThe talk of rigged elections in particular seems ominous. The whole point of an election is consensus even if one party doesn’t like the outcome
- vlovich123 6y agoOne thing I’ve been mulling this over is does this model actually hold for countries like Russia and China which have a different political system? Does it hold for Saudia Arabia, UAE, Iran and Pakistan? I’m thinking there’s something incomplete about this model.
- chillacy 6y agoThe article does mention France and China as examples of revolutions set on by inequality. - vlovich123 6y agoIt mentions historical China & France. My questions are about modern dictatorships which arguably may have learned new techniques in population control & have ways of executing on techniques never seen before due to rapid technological growth.
- NotSammyHagar 6y agoWow, I found that a very powerful and persuasive article. One question is why don't they show the stress index from 1870-1940? Stress obviously went up during the civil war, but was there relief after? Stress prob. went down in the 1920s but up by 1930.
