Set them up with Scratch and have them make some video games.
- tmaly 6y agoI should have added more detail here. With Scratch you can create animations/video games and get instant feedback. It runs right out of the browser, so there are no setup issues to trip over. There are a good set of extensions to do text to voice, music, etc. There are hardware interfaces like makeymakey and microbit. I was able to re-created my senior robotics project in 2 hours using the cutebot that is driven by the microbit.
