There is no reason to 'other' people like this. Parties are things that people adhere to, some for a season, some for a lifetime, but they reflect very little about their worth as human beings.
I come from a large family and we represent the whole spectrum of political beliefs, in a single generation, and all my sibs are equally kind and selfless, regardless of their political affiliation.
- citizenkeen 6y agoI think they were referring to the elected Republicans, not lay people. I'd be curious to know which elected (R) Senator/Congressperson you would consider kind and selfless.
- war1025 6y agoI'd be curious which (D) representative you think would fit that criteria either. Politicians are egomaniacs almost by definition.

- mrkstu 6y agoPoliticians as a class aren't well known for their kindness, but Senator Romney, Jeb Bush, Jeff Flake, Lamar Alexander and Will Hurd come to mind.
