It seems like it might be a difference between Firefox's behavior and Chrome's though, because any time I've used chrome the suggestions it fed me were autocomplete results from google search. The great thing about Firefox's "Awesome bar" as I think it is (or was) called is that it looks through your history and ranks things based on frequency / recency of visiting. So if I want to look up something, there's a good chance I can just start typing the word I remember from the page title and it will pull up the result for me.
