I want to likes FreeCAD, but it’s just not there for reasons mentioned elsewhere in the thread. I’ve logged probably thousands of hours in each Solidworks, Pro|engineer (now creo) and onshape (current favorite), so I’m familiar with the productivity costs of switching to a new program. The inefficiencies of FreeCAD is way beyond any switching cost, probably 5x less efficient to design and iterate.
