Using "000" for 3 months then "111" for 3 months isn't secure. So changing a password regularly doesn't make it secure at all.
- wickedchicken 15y agoIt's a lot more secure than relying on "000" for 6 months if your server was breached or your PW was sniffed over the wire, or if you use the same (or similar) password on a different site and that PW was stolen/sniffed. Rotating passwords is one of those security practices that (like any legitimate security consideration) is crazy annoying but effective.
