Worse: Facebook decides that the "most relevant" comments on such posts are the most inflammatory comments, because their algorithms select for engagement, so they want to show me something that will anger you, so you write an inflammatory reply.
- Udik 6y agoBut do they decide? Can they actually read the comment and decide it's inflammatory? Or do they just expose comments that people like to engage with (filtering out only the most obvious insults)?
- cma 6y agoTo not expose highly the one they predict to meet their metrics from the get-go would be a big loss to give up, given the small scale of many threads.
