Why would you use bangs, when Firefox and Chrome have perfectly usable custom search keywords? Moreover, some of the bangs suck. Like for example !hn. I’d rather search HN via Google, with my own keyword, because that Angolia engine is crap. Want to save urls in archive.org? You can add a keyword. Want to search a private list on Twitter? Add a keyword. DDG bangs can’t do what your browser can. Also, for privacy purposes, sending your Google searches to DDG first is stupid. On iOS btw, Safari doesn’t do custom search keywords, but Firefox does, and it can sync your keywords across devices.
