You might want to check building codes. This would never fly in New England.

  depends on state, county, city, it's a nightmare of problems to be sure. we live in an area that doesn't have an issue with it so we don't have to fight legislature tooth and nail to build it that way. you can see what ICON has done that's essentially what we are aiming for but the first for-profit for home owners not a non-profit for homeless people like ICON. they're doing great work it just isnt profitable or scalable to do charity work and be impactful enough fast enough in the world like that. you can check them out here: https://www.iconbuild.com/ https://www.iconbuild.com/
