My pet peeve was managers that didn’t ask for an estimation and said to be done in Feb 2021 and then forced you to work late/do overtime while they went home at 5pm every day. Long ago I decided if the (project) manager can’t be arsed to be around, to answer questions, arrange dinner, why should I work late? If it’s not that important for the manager stay late too, even to give moral support.
