I know how fast I should driving because I know how far I can see, but the car had LIDAR / Radar / night vision / etc. If the speed limit is 45MPH and the car is going 45MPH, what reason did the driver have to think that the car couldn't see? Either the driver can rely on the car to "see" or they can't.
