Sorry, I still don’t understand why you believe that you has to ship an app using new features in 24 hours if your app worked even without using them all this time? Did I understand that the existing picker worked and will work in your case? So where that 24 hour pressure comes from in your case? I didn‘t understand that your app built with the tools for 13 would be broken on 14? And if it would be, why?
- tannedNerd 6y agoThat’s thing it wouldn’t work. It would have broken permissions and would never be able to properly function. Just like the location api changes etc. If try to launch an ios11 app like Instagram in ios14 it would be completely useless and nonfunctional because of just permission api changes. Not to mention any of the million other things Apple changes. So ya that’s this 24 hours is a crunch because even if 15% update the first day that’s 150+ Million Devices.
