Uber disabled the Volvo's auto crash-avoidance feature. That should amount to some culpability. Who is going to want work as autonomous vehicle backup drive now? I don't think it's reasonable to expect a person to be attentive 100% of the time, given the nature of the task (just sit and wait for a problem).
