How did they get 60 interviews? Do I really need to join LinkedIn?
- _t0du 6y agoLive in a tech hub, get a good recruiter, say yes to everything. 60 is probably extreme, and a good recruiter would probably actually turn you down for this type of behavior, but it's def possible.
- ericmcer 6y agoHe is exactly what most tech companies are trying to hire. Very strong resume, masters from respected college, clearly passionate about tech, and a PoC to top it off, he literally checks every box.
- C1sc0cat 6y agoIs that actually a helpful comment, its certainly not in the sprit of HN
- bradlys 6y agoBeyond this person being very desirable... probably just applied and responded to a lot of recruiters. I don’t think I’ve interviewed with 60 places in a month but I’ve certainly done around 60 interviews in a month. (10+ days of onsites, lots of phone calls) But, I think it’s quite rare. I was desperate for a job and sucked at interviewing. (Ahem, and I still suck at it)
- ptmcc 6y agoDoing 60 interviews is certainly not my style of job-hunting, but I think it'd be pretty dang easy (but a ton of work) to line up that many interviews in a few month period if you are not overly selective in companies you interview with. Yes, a good LinkedIn profile with the right resume items helps with that. Also living in (or relocating to) a tech hub.
