It's a political article which made me hesitate submitting it but since it is extraordinary in the sense that Scientic American hasn't supported any presidential candidate before, I decided to give it a pass.
- gadders 6y agoNot a very sensible move. It will cause issues with their credibility going forward (not because they picked Biden, but because they picked any candidate).
- mhh__ 6y agoThe kind of people to get angry over this probably don't read scientific american. The US now has a president who openly defiles the rule of law (Stone, Flynn) and is trying to invalidate the results of an election. These are extreme times, I don't mind them taking a stance.
- EForEndeavour 6y agoDid you read the article? SciAm opens by acknowledging that their endorsement is unprecedented, then supports it in great detail by showing how this presidency has indeed been unprecedented.
