I suppose the tone is open to interpretation, but I didn't try and mischaracterize the interaction. Both of us were incredulous as to the responses we were getting. When asking the same questions in a store, especially before agreeing to anything, I'd expect and have received clear answers or documents that do that. Likewise, though I didn't mention this in the post, the first few emails Joe sent were not quotes, but payment requests with no further detail as to what was happening.
