Hmm, glass half empty you mean? I mean yes, it sounds absolutely horrible. On the other hand, he recovered, married, has a child and is living "the dream" (independent consultant doing web/etc). He's also probably _really_ good at meditation. :)
- the_arun 6y agoI said this story is encouraging. For all of us who go through daily chores could feel better knowing there is worst that could happen to us and we are lucky to live through with our basic necessities fulfilled. This kind of stories should make us empathetic/(more human) to others knowing what we have.
- abellerose 6y agoI don’t know if I agree with that outlook but I can understand the people that like the it could be worse mentality to keep them going. I don’t think I’m any less empathetic for not having your outlook.
