Several times I've tried to login using google only be greeted with a permission request, such as READING ALL OF MY EMAILS. Even Dropbox requires you to give them permission to your contacts if you want to login with google. When you're not paying attention it's really easy to miss this kind of thing. So much so that now I prefer creating an account traditionally using a generated password.
