I know it is nice and convenient having a smartphone, but you all are creating the demand for these horrible phones. And since you keep buying them why should anything change? You complain and complain and google and apple laugh with your trillions of dollars.
If you do not like what apple and google are doing, boycott them.
I know it is hard, you are all addicted to the quick information and the dopamine rush. I know because that was me. And many of you here are probably developers sucking off the teat that you complain about.
Myself? I use a flip phone while I wait for a phone that somewhat meets my criteria for something close to my linux based laptop.
- StavrosK 6y ago> you are all addicted to the quick information and the dopamine rush No, I'm addicted to being able to coordinate with my friends, and the additional friction of not being on WhatsApp means I won't be invited to stuff as often. This sanctimonious diatribe isn't going to make a flip phone any more useful in a country where nobody calls or uses SMS.
- podgaj 6y agoThe trouble is you think this cannot happen without a smartphone. If you want things to change you have to take a stand and SACRIFICE. If your friends will not reach out to you because you are not on an App, are they really your friends?
- StavrosK 6y ago> If your friends will not reach out to you because you are not on an App, are they really your friends? No, certainly not. That's why I make all my friends send me their invitations through the mail, to test their loyalty. I'm sure I'll get the first one any day now.
