I've worked at a html > pdf engine, I don't remember that much issues with text itself beyond making the pdf metrics the same as html so that linke breaks occur

I've worked at a html > pdf engine, I don't remember that much issues with text itself beyond making the pdf metrics the same as html so that linke breaks occurred on the same places. did you write the column one after another (first all left, then all right) or going left right line of text then top down?
