I have been running nodejs in production since 0.6 (2012) and I'm not emotionally involved with nodejs, being actually a scala person who happened to work on a nodejs project. I'm curious and interested by new things, so I looked at deno with interest. And honestly, for now, I don't see a single practical benefit that would make me switch over.
I'm still happy that deno exists, experiment is good and if they ever find something that could make nodejs better, then it could be used to actually improve nodejs, which everyone will benefit from.
