I've been choosing to live within an hour walk from work for many years now. While I didn't normally walk to work (pre-pandemia) I knew I could and I did (I live in a major capital with lots of transit disruptions). I definitely wouldn't want to work at the office every day, but I also wouldn't want to stay at home everyday either (hunting for a seat on a cafe counts as wfh for me).
