I would seriously recommend stepping away from this site, or at least its comments, if the attitude and general political leanings that shine through the "keep politics away" veil frustrate you. I did for a while and it was great.

No. Instead, I demand that y'all become better educated. Be less racist, less sexist, and less religious. It's not hard, other than that there's reading and thinking required. We are some of the most powerful engineers on the planet, and we have extreme ethical obligations as a result. We don't get to abdicate our ethical reasoning just because we enter the realm of politics. Indeed, it is more important, not less, that we focus on improving our ethical attitudes.

    I said no such thing; you inferred it. What I'll actually say is that rightist (libertarian, fascist, and theocratic) ideologies have massive ethical deficits. In particular, libertarians cannot manage common resources, fascists attack social behaviors, and theocrats commit perversions upon the laity. I don't claim that my path is the only ethical one, but I do claim that many people are on incredibly immoral paths and yet claim moral high ground. Also, what exactly would you like me to open my mind to? Please keep in mind that this thread is about QAnon, a cult. What am I being closed-minded to, and why is it bad that I am not interested in adopting QAnon claims?

      Not all libertarians are rightists. There's also anarcho-communism / left-libertarianism... just don't associate us with the Party. Though I fall somewhere between DSA and anarchism, I find completely ending the state seems nigh impossible, but weakening it through dual power and creating counter organizations -- that's much more feasible imho.

  If you'd take a look at my comment history about one page back you'd know I'm not your enemy. All I'm saying is, that with this attitude, you're doing nothing but frustrate yourself. The general HN user base is very resistant to being talked to like that.
