My water bill is a week late. I know it's late, I've gotten two emails about it. I've got plenty of money in my account to pay it right now. It would take less than five minutes. I still haven't done it. And the above for most of my other "mundane" responsibilities which aren't automated yet too.

Auto-pay is your friend. I would never pay any bills if I had to do them manually. My bank also has a feature where you get notified if a bill is higher than usual so they help you catch if you are being overbilled.
