In practice, every person I have ever seen hold a DevOps title would have been called a sysadmin or something to that effect 10 years ago. They’re really not working on product features, even though they know how to code. Similarly, yes, there’s plenty of people that have a grasp of both sales and marketing to some degree. But there’s only so many hours in a day.
