I thought people were supposed to vote up/down based on whether the comments adds/detracts value from the convo?

- dangero 15y agoMe too, but from years of using this site and similar I find that to be untrue because even assuming everyone votes with this in mind, I don't think you can fully separate perceived value of a comment and agreement with the comment. If you strongly disagree with a comment, then doesn't that imply you don't see value in it? I think that line is ambiguous.
