Singapore Airlines Plans Flights to Nowhere
- wodenokoto 6y agoBut why are people interested in this? I’d say the best thing about staycationing is not having to fly.
- jbj 6y agopossibly to allow people to explore the airport and go home after without breaking the rules. Additionally pilots will have a better opportunity to track their flight hours to maintain their license.
- dmurray 6y agoChangi Airport is an experience in itself, so you might be on to something there.
- rgoulter 6y agoCal Newport's "Deep Work" cites an example of someone buying business-class airline tickets because the ability to focus on a plane was such a boon.
- _-___________-_ 6y agoI'd do it if I was in SIN. Changi's pretty nice, and you can't go airside without a boarding pass. If you fly business or first class, Singapore Airlines is a pretty nice experience. I'm usually extremely productive on flights, so it would make a change from working at home or in a cafe or whatever. Also, I like aircraft and the experience of flying, and it's been a while since the last time I did it.
- toyg 6y agoThey’re missing a real trick: turn the plane into a casino, brothel, or disco. It would be the air equivalent of a party-bus. I bet they’d make a killing.
