No wonder, they have the largest red tape on maintainer application process.
Until very recently they were expecting GPG keys signed by 2 Debian developers, and that could be only done by being developers face to face, or by attending a key signing party on DebConf. Tough luck if you're in a remote location. Not sure how it's being done after pandemic.
- octoberfranklin 6y agoI think it's awesome that they have a fully autonomous cryptographic web of trust. Far too few organizations do.
