There's definitely a market for stable, long-term supported (in terms of documentation/email/phone, and manufacture) hardware. I'm working on a multi-year project with many subcomponents and I'm tired of vendors upgrading and obsoleting. Version x worked just fine for my needs. Version y gains me nothing and adds risk and time in testing.
