I’m just starting on a greenfield consumer-facing website for a client. We mostly work on business to business web applications so I’m really happy to finally make something “regular people” will visit. I’ll try better to make it accessible for less-abled visitors.
Is there a good get-started guide? How can I measure the “accessibility” of my website? Is there a free screenreader I should test with?
- gostsamo 6y agoThere are some accessibility assessing tools like wave and lighthouse as far as I know. Free screen readers are Orca for Linux, NVDA and Narrator for Windows, and Voice Over in Mac and IOS. Also, Talkback and voice assist in Android with the latter being Samsung only.
